10 Days Eastern Uganda Cultural Tour

With our cultural safaris we take you to the remote virgin areas full of exciting culture that hasn’t been exploited. These trips are for those who love and more interested in knowing about other cultures, people and their ways of life.

Day 1:

Arrival at Entebbe Airport where you will be welcomed by habitat Safaris representative and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Le Petit Hotel/Cassia Lodge/Namirembe Guest House.

Day 2:

After a morning breakfast, you will go for the city Cultural Buganda tour where you will visit the Kabaka’s lake that is believed to be man-made, then to Lubiri Palace in Mengo you will then continue to Namugongo shrines where the young Uganda Martyrs who were burnt life because of religion by the orders of King Mwanga. Overnight at Le Petit Hotel, Cassia Lodge, Namirembe Guest House.

Day 3:
You will visit all the Buganda Cultural Sites in the city including Naggalabi Corronation Site which is the beginning site for the Buganda Kingdom, continue to Kasubi Tombs and Wamala tombs the burial places for the Baganda Kings and then visit the palaces of some Kings in Buganda. Overnight at Le Petit Hotel, Cassia Lodge, Namirembe Guest House.

Day 4:

You will then drive to the Eastern part of Uganda with a stopover at Sezibwa Falls the twin falls that are believed to have been born by Human. Then continue to Mabira Forest, then to Bujagali falls which will give you an opportunity to see the flow of the Falls and the Busoga popular Bujagali Magic man with a traditional entertainment by the cultural group. Dinner and Overnight at Jinja Nile Resort, Gately on the Nile, Sunset Hotel.

Day 5:

After breakfast you will proceed to the Source of the Nile take a boat ride on the source of the Nile to the place that is where to source of the Nile begins from. You will be entertained by the Cultural group and after refreshment you will continue to Bugembe palace of Kyabazinga the king of the Basoga Kingdom where you will get the information about the Basoga. Dinner and Overnight at Jinja Nile Resort, Gately on the Nile, Sunset Hotel.

Day 6:

You will then drive far East with a stopover for lunch the proceed to Mbale Town. Dinner and Overnight at Mbale Resort Hotel, Lacam Lodge.

Day 7:

Early morning visit to Sipi Falls which is a stunner and arguably the most beautiful water fall with three levels of falls you will have a hiking tour giving you excellent walking up to the locals plantation. Dinner and Overnight at Kapkwai Forest Cottages, Lacam Lodge.

Day 8:

Either you will enjoyment of the colourful traditional dances, the handicrafts of the Gishu, visit the enormous caves, scenic peaks, gorges, and hot Springs or go the circumcision Ceremony of the Gishu people which is their trademark. You will then continue to Tororo for dinner and overnight at Tororo Hotel, Rack Hotel.

Day 9:

After breakfast, you go to view the Nyero Rock with unique well known paintings then continue to Kampala with a stopover for Lunch. Overnight at Le Petit Hotel, Cassia Lodge, Namirembe Guest House.

Day 10:

You will then transfer to the airport to catch your flight.
